This past year was marked by accomplishments and unity among the brothers, both new and old. Our new executive board, led by President Connor Adams, ushered in a new era of the Maryland Beta Brotherhood. Highlighted by events with alumni, student clubs, and other Greek organizations, SigEp brought the Fraternity to the forefront of a new age of Greek life at the University of Maryland.
In the fall, we elected Carter Gibson, Drew Wei-Williams, Orande Sherman, and Nate Boore to the Executive Board. In addition to continuing the roles left by their predecessors, they began new procedures in the fields of programming, academic and member development, and recruitment, respectively.
Additionally, we continued to work with our AVC, led by President John Bertinatti, who connected us with other alumni such as Scott Weitz.
We also welcomed new members Jack Hudren and Robbie Baggett, who have already taken leadership roles within the fraternity.
In the Spring, we continued the momentum we built and welcomed members Matthew Mende, Nate Cross, Jacob Schneiderman, Sohamm Rajput, and Tarun Aryal.
VP of Member Development Orande Sherman organized a brotherhood retreat to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Philanthropically, held events that supported POW-MIA, as well as multiple food drives in conjunction with other organizations.
Former President Nathan Blanken graduated with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science! Next year, we will have a record number of seniors graduating- starting with Will Sparrow in the Fall!
We want to thank all who have helped us get to where we are today, and all who continue to help us RAISE OUR BAR!
Fraternally,
The Brothers of Maryland Beta
